A typical Sunday, lately

This is what Aspyn has been investing quite a bit of time and energy in. I put things that I'd like to give away into a bag and she takes back out the things she thinks she can sell and then puts them on a table in front of the house. She does pretty darn well with this and always has quite a bit of her own money. The experiences she gains each time she sets up this stand are immeasurable (I'm sure you can imagine) and I'm quite the proud Mama. Pete even got her a real cash register that someone had just thrown away at the Fairgrounds!

Here Brayden is catching a pop fly that I produced while hitting a tennis ball with my racket ball racket. We're not all as wealthy as Aspyn and have to make do with what we have. ; ) It's way cool because Brayden *loves* to throw the ball to me and catch it (with his bare hands) when I hit it back. And, I *love* hitting the ball, so we're a perfect match! He's gotten so good at catching the ball (see pic underneath of this one) that it's ridiculous. If someone would have told me that my son would be a jock, I never would have believed them. But, a jock he is, and I don't think I could be even one bit prouder then I am. The boy is a natural athlete. Every sport he gives a try, he ends up excelling at, almost immediately. I'm very glad that he gave the video games a rest to try some other new things and I'm so thankful that I always trusted he would, when he was ready. Radical Unschooling totally ROCKS!
